Tour Plan
Transfer: Airport/Station to Hotel (70km, ~1 hr).
Welcome: Our staff will greet you with a traditional "Tashi Delek" welcome.
Activity: Focus on resting and slowing down to allow your body to adapt to the altitude (3,650m).
Important Tips: Avoid strenuous exercise, alcohol, and showering on your first night. Drink plenty of water and maintain a relaxed mindset to prevent altitude sickness.
Tibetan Culture Experience: Visit a traditional handicraft center to learn the art of incense making and woodblock printing. You’ll even learn to write your name in Tibetan calligraphy.
Sera Monastery: One of the "Great Three" monasteries. Witness the spirited Monk Debates (starting at 3:00 PM), a dynamic display of Buddhist philosophical exchange.
Note: Debating is usually unavailable on Sundays or during special festivals.
Potala Palace: Explore the winter residence of the Dalai Lama, filled with golden stupas, sacred murals, and ancient Buddhist scriptures.
Jokhang Temple: The spiritual heart of Tibet. Witness the devotion of pilgrims at the gates of this architectural masterpiece.
Barkhor Street: Walk the ancient pilgrimage circuit and browse local markets for unique Himalayan crafts.
Yamdrok Lake: View the turquoise sacred lake from Gampala Pass (4,950m). The winding lake is often compared to a "sapphire earring" dropped on the plateau.
Karola Glacier: A massive continental glacier hanging just above the highway, famous as a filming location for major Chinese movies.
Stay: Reach Shigatse, the second-largest city and the traditional seat of the Panchen Lama.
Jiawula Pass (5,200m): Experience a world-class panorama of five 8,000-meter peaks, including Everest, Lhotse, and Makalu.
Rongbuk Monastery: The highest monastery in the world, providing a spiritual backdrop to the North Face of Mt. Everest.
Stay: Overnight at Everest Base Camp (EBC) in a traditional yak-hair tent or local guesthouse.
Everest Sunrise: Capture the "Golden Peak" as the first light hits the summit of the world’s highest mountain.
Gyatsola Pass (5,252m): Cross the highest point on the Friendship Highway for a final look at the Himalayan range.
Return: Drive back to Shigatse for a comfortable night at a lower altitude.
Tashilhunpo Monastery: Visit the seat of the Panchen Lama. Highlights include the world’s largest gilded copper Maitreya Buddha, encrusted with diamonds and pearls.
Note: The return to Lhasa may be by tourist coach or the high-altitude train, depending on group arrangements.
Namtso Lake: Cross the Nagen La Pass (5,190m) to reach the "Heavenly Lake." At 4,718m, it is the highest saltwater lake in the world, reflecting the snow-capped Nyenchen Tanglha Mountains.
Winter/Weather Note: Namtso is subject to closures due to heavy snow.

Farewell: Transfer to the airport or train station.
Tip: For a smooth departure, we recommend booking flights departing after 10:00 AM.

- • Added Value:
- o One portable oxygen bottle per person.
- o Two bottles of mineral water (300ml) per person, per day.
- o One emergency medical oxygen tank (4L) equipped in the vehicle.
- • Single Supplement: Prices are based on two people sharing a room. A surcharge applies for solo travelers requesting a private room.
- • Room Forfeiture Fees: Due to full pre-payment of hotel bookings, any mid-trip itinerary changes resulting in room cancellations are the responsibility of the traveler.
- • Personal Expenses: Laundry, telephone calls, faxes, pay-per-view TV, beverages, snacks, tobacco, alcohol, and other personal incidentals.
- • Force Majeure & Emergencies: The agency reserves the right to cancel or modify the itinerary due to uncontrollable factors (natural disasters, war, strikes, pandemics), airline changes, or insufficient group numbers. Any resulting additional costs will be charged accordingly.
- • Gratuities (Tipping): We recommend a tip of 30 RMB per person, per day for the driver and the guide respectively.
- • Major Transport: Round-trip airfare or train tickets to and from Tibet are not included. We can assist with bookings for an additional service fee upon request.
