Tour Plan
Transfer: Airport/Station to Hotel (70km, ~1 hr).

Activity: Check into your hotel and focus on resting. The key to enjoying Tibet is to slow down and let your body adapt to the "atmosphere of the plateau."
Important Tips: Avoid strenuous exercise, alcohol, and showering on your first night to prevent altitude sickness. Drink plenty of water and maintain a relaxed mindset.
Tibetan Culture Experience: Visit a traditional handicraft center. Learn how Tibetan incense is made and participate in woodblock printing. You will also learn to write your name in Tibetan calligraphy—a perfect souvenir to take home.
Sera Monastery: One of the "Great Three" monasteries of Lhasa. Watch the famous Monk Debating (starting at 3:00 PM), where monks use dramatic claps and gestures to challenge each other's philosophical knowledge.
Note: Debating is usually unavailable on Sundays or during special religious festivals.
Potala Palace: Wander through the winter palace of the Dalai Lama, a treasure trove of golden Buddha statues, murals, and the tombs of past spiritual leaders.
Jokhang Temple: The spiritual center of Tibet. See the life-sized statue of the 12-year-old Shakyamuni Buddha and witness the deep devotion of local pilgrims.
Barkhor Street: Walk the ancient kora (pilgrimage) circuit surrounding the temple and explore the local markets for authentic Tibetan crafts.
Yamdrok Lake: View the turquoise "Swan Lake" from the Gampala Pass (4,950m). The water is so blue it is often called "the turquoise earring of a goddess."
Karola Glacier: A stunning continental glacier that hangs just above the highway, famous as a filming location for Red River Valley.
Stay: Reach Shigatse, the historic capital of Rear Tibet and the traditional seat of the Panchen Lama.
The Journey: Drive along the Friendship Highway toward the Himalayas.
Gawu La Pass (5,200m): One of the most spectacular viewpoints in the world, where you can see five 8,000-meter peaks (Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Cho Oyu, and Shishapangma) in a single panorama.
Rongbuk Monastery: The world’s highest monastery, offering a dramatic spiritual foreground to the North Face of Everest.
Stay: Overnight at Everest Base Camp (EBC) in a traditional yak-hair tent or local guesthouse.
Everest Sunrise: Wake up early to catch the "Golden Peak" as the first rays of sun hit the summit of the world's highest mountain.

Return: Drive back to Shigatse for a well-deserved rest at a lower altitude.
Tashilhunpo Monastery: Explore the sprawling temple complex built in 1447. Highlight: The Future Buddha (Maitreya) statue, the largest gilded copper statue in the world, encrusted with diamonds and pearls.

Note: Depending on the group arrangement, the return may be by tourist coach or the high-altitude train.
Farewell: After breakfast, private transfer to the airport or train station for your departure.
