Tour Plan

  • Transfer: Airport/Station to Hotel (70km, ~1 hr).
  • Welcome: Greeted with traditional plateau smiles and "Tashi Delek" blessings.
  • Activity: Check-in and dedicated rest to allow your body to acclimatize to the altitude.

Important Tips: 1. A staff member will contact you before arrival; please keep your phone reachable. 2. Avoid strenuous exercise, alcohol, and showering on your first night to prevent altitude sickness.

  • The Route: Travel along the Lalin Highway, China’s most beautiful highway, tracing the scenic Nyang River.
  • Kading Valley: A "Heaven on Earth" canyon featuring ancient forests, waterfalls, and unique rock formations hidden in a lush landscape.
  • Sejila Pass: At 4,728m, look out over the forest sea and catch a glimpse of Namcha Barwa, the most beautiful snow peak in China.
  • Lulang Forest: An alpine meadow and forest area so beautiful it's known for "making people forget home."
  • Bi Ri Holy Mountain: Visit the ecological museum and see the sprawling prayer flag arrays.

Feature Meal: Enjoy Lulang Stone Pot Chicken, slow-cooked in specialized mica stone pots.

  • Basum Tso: A 5A-rated sacred lake. Visit Tsozong Gongba Monastery on a tiny island in the center.
  • Jieba Village: An undeveloped, fairy-tale village offering the best views of the surrounding "King's Throne" snow peaks.
  • Return: Drive back to the spiritual heart of Tibet, Lhasa.
  • Tibetan Culture Experience: A hands-on workshop where you learn to write Tibetan calligraphy and make traditional incense.
  • Sera Monastery: Witness the famous Monk Debates (starting around 3:00 PM). Watch the animated philosophical exchanges—a true testament to Tibetan faith.
  • Potala Palace: The winter residence of the Dalai Lama and an architectural masterpiece.
  • Jokhang Temple: The ultimate pilgrimage destination. See the devout pilgrims and the 12-year-old statue of Jowo Shakyamuni.

  • Stay: Overnight in Shigatse, Tibet’s second-largest city.
  • Gawu La Pass: A 5,200m viewpoint offering a panorama of five 8,000-meter peaks.
  • Everest Base Camp: Visit the world's highest peak (8,848m) and the nearby Rongbuk Monastery.
  • Stay: Overnight in the EBC campsite tents. Note: Conditions are basic (multi-person), but the star-gazing is unparalleled.
  • Everest Sunrise: Wake up early to catch the "Golden Peak" as the sun hits the summit.
  • Gyatso La Pass: The highest point on the Friendship Highway at 5,252m.
  • Return: Head back to Shigatse for a well-deserved rest in a standard hotel.
  • Tashilhunpo Monastery: The seat of the Panchen Lama. Home to the world's largest gilded copper Maitreya Buddha (Future Buddha).
  • Highlights: Incredible stupas made of gold, silver, and precious gems.
  • Return: Scenic drive or train journey back to Lhasa.
  • Namtso Lake: Known as the "Heavenly Lake," it is the highest saltwater lake in the world. It is framed by the snow-capped Nyenchen Tanglha Mountains.

Important Winter Note: If Namtso is closed due to heavy snow, the itinerary will adjust to visit Ganden Monastery or Tsurphu Monastery instead.

  • Transfer: Private transfer to the airport or train station.
  • Farewell: We suggest flights after 10:00 AM for a stress-free departure.

  • o Note: Single "King" rooms are not guaranteed. Breakfast is not provided for children or guests not occupying a dedicated bed.
  • • Meals: * 8 Hotel Breakfasts + 2 Specialty Feature Dinners.

  • • Single Supplement: Prices are based on twin-sharing. A surcharge applies for solo travelers requesting a private room.
  • • Room Forfeiture Fees: Due to full pre-payment of hotel bookings, any mid-trip changes resulting in room cancellations are the responsibility of the traveler.
  • • Personal Expenses: Laundry, phone calls, faxes, pay-per-view TV, beverages, snacks, alcohol, and other personal incidentals.
  • • Force Majeure & Emergencies: The agency reserves the right to cancel or modify the itinerary due to uncontrollable factors (natural disasters, strikes, pandemics), airline changes, or insufficient group numbers. Any additional resulting costs will be the responsibility of the traveler.
  • • Gratuities (Tipping): We suggest a tip of 30 RMB per person, per day for the driver and the guide respectively.
  • • Major Transport: Round-trip airfare or train tickets to and from Tibet are not included. We can assist with these bookings for a separate service fee.
